Bill Berger II

Board Secretary and Chair of Development Committee - Bill Berger II, is the Co-Founder & Executive Vice President & CFO of Berger Geosciences, LLC, a marine geosciences company serving the oil and gas industry. Bill graduated from the University of Detroit in 1969 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy. He earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1975. Bill continues to serve in leadership positions with various nonprofit boards in the greater Tomball and Magnolia communities, and has served on TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors since 2020. Presently, Mr. Berger is the chair of the Development Committee, and also serves on the Governance Committee.

Larry Chatman

Board Member - Mr. Chatman graduated from the U.S. Army War College in 1974. He has a combined total of 28 years of service in the armed forces as both an active-duty member and in the reserves. Mr. Chatman is currently the Vice President of AutoNation, for the Texas Region and also holds several leadership positions with various groups in the greater Tomball region. Mr. Chatman joined TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors in 2018 and currently serves on the Governance Committee.

Richard Ervin

Board Treasurer and Chair of Finance and Audit Committee - Richard Ervin joined HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2017. Before joining HCA Healthcare, Ervin began his career with American Medical International in 1986, which later became Tenet Healthcare, where he served as CFO for 10 years then served as CFO for nine years with Community Health Systems in Tomball. Ervin earned a Bachelor of Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr. Ervin is also a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served on TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors since 2019. Currently, Mr. Ervin serves as Board Treasurer and is the chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Yolanda Garcia

Board Member - Yolanda Garcia is a retired Registered Nurse and worked as a Nurse Manager for Methodist Hospital for thirty-seven years. Mrs. Garcia’s volunteer experience includes St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Matthias Financial Group & Bereavement Committee. She also worked as a Staff Nurse at TOMAGWA for six years and has served on TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors since 2008. She currently serves on TOMAGWA’s Finance and Audit Committee.

Cy Helm

Board Member - Cy Helm graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin (UT). After graduating from UT, Mr. Helm began working as a Programmer/Analyst, first at Brown & Root (1980 – 1986), then at Pool Well Servicing (1986-1988). In 1991, he graduated from The Divinity School at Duke University, and he began serving at Friendswood United Methodist Church (1991 – 1995), then Bay Vue UMC and Bolivar UMC (1995 – 1998), then First UMC in Houston, Texas (1998 – 2010). In 2010 Rev. Helm began managing his family’s office and became President of the Helm Foundation. Rev. Helm joined TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors in 2012. Presently, he serves on the Development and Governance committees, and has previously held the offices of Board President and Board Secretary.

Thomas Gloyer

Ex-Officio - Thomas Gloyer graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1984 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. Tom is the former owner of The Home Health Store from 1985-2023. Tom became involved in TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries shortly after its inception and has held the office of President and director for numerous years. Tom is currently an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and serves as a Director at Salem Lutheran Church.

Kevin Rudolph

Board President - Kevin Rudolph graduated from Whitworth College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, and from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1983 with a Master of Divinity degree. He was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister in 1983 and has served three churches, one in California and two in Texas. He served as the Senior Pastor at Windwood Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas for 26 years, and recently retired. He has served as Moderator of the Presbytery of Texas for ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians and is also President of Common Ground Christian Network. Mr. Rudolph has served on the Board of Directors for TOMAGWA since 2014, and for the last year has been the President of the Board.

Tamika Simon

Board Member and Chair of Compliance & Performance Improvement Committee - Tamika Simon graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She later acquired a Master of Military Arts, Strategic Operations from Air University and a Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Management. She currently serves as the Director of Laboratory Services at Houston Methodist Hospital – Willowbrook. She joined TOMAGWA’s Board of Directors in 2020 and is currently the chair of the Compliance & Performance Improvement Committee.

Kathy Ann Terry

Board Vice President and Chair of Governance Committee - Kathy Ann Terry is an Attorney at Law at the Law Offices of Kathy Ann Terry. In 1981, she graduated from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and made the Dean's List. She attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX, and received her Juris Doctorate in 1988. She won numerous awards including the American Jurisprudence Award and The National Dean's List. Ms. Terry’s volunteer experience includes the Salem Lutheran Outreach Team along with mission work in Honduras and Kenya, and participating in the MS150 benefiting multiple sclerosis research, and Tour de Cure benefiting diabetes research, among other volunteer causes. Ms. Terry has served on the Board of TOMAGWA since 2019 and currently serves as Board Vice President.

Kendra Windisch

Board Member - Kendra Windisch, M.A., is a senior community relations specialist in Strategic Communications at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She coordinates charitable sponsorships that support the local community, and collaborates with non-profit, civic, and business organizations in The Woodlands and North Houston area to educate the public about cancer prevention. Ms. Windisch received her undergraduate degrees in Community Health and Psychology, and a master’s degree in Community Health from Sam Houston State University. She has served on the Board of TOMAGWA since 2020 and currently serves on the Compliance & Performance Improvement Committee.

Paula Whitaker

Board Member - Paula Whitaker graduated from the University of Houston in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Teacher Education. She received a Master’s in Education with a Minor in Early Childhood in 1979 from Sam Houston State University along with a second Masters of Arts in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology in 2003. She taught in public education for 23 years and founded two Christian Schools, Tomball Christian Academy and Champion Christian, both of which operated for over 24 years. Mrs. Whitaker donated the inheritance of her late son to TOMAGWA in 2009, which resulted in the establishment of the Ryan Paul Whitaker Memorial Medical Center where TOMAGWA’s Tomball Clinic and administrative offices are currently housed. Mrs. Whitaker has supported the organization as a volunteer and donor for more than 20 years. She has served on the Board of TOMAGWA since 2017 and presently serves on the Development Committee.
