General primary medical care services are comprehensive and address prevention as well as acute and chronic conditions

Through staff and volunteer practitioners, TOMAGWA provides case managment services, health education, annual wellness exams for the entire family, pediatrics, and obstetrics.

TOMAGWA is a 5 time gold standard award winner with the American Heart Association for its chronic disease management programs  on diabetes, cholesterol, and hypertension. 

Screening services are performed based on identified risk factors to evaluate, treat, and educate. 

TOMAGWA screens for Choleseterol, Diabetes, communicable diseases inlcuding testing for tuberculosis, HIV, Hepatits B and C, as well as cancer screenings that inlcude, but are not limited to, screening for prostate, breast, cervix, and colorectal cancers (e.g., mammography, Pap testing, fecal occult blood testing, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy).  

General dentistry services to diagnose and treat disease, injury, or impairment in teeth and associated structures of the oral cavity and include any diagnostic x-rays or imaging.

Services include fillings and single unit crowns; non-surgical-endodontics, extractions, bridges or dentures. basic dental screenings and recommendations for preventive intervention; oral hygiene instruction and related oral health education (e.g., prevention of oral trauma and oral cancer); oral prophylaxis, as necessary; and topical application of fluorides (e.g., fluoride varnishes) detnal xrays

TOMAGWA partners with Houston Methodist, The Rose Mammograpy, and MD Anderson Project Valet to provide mammograms to underserved women.

Annual well woman exams including breast exams, pap smears, cervical, and colorectal cancers and provided in partnership with Texas A&M University College of Nursing.  

Immunization services are the provision of age appropriate preventive vaccines.

Children who are eligible for TVFC vaccines include: Uninsured, Underinsured, on Medicaid (Texas Health Steps), covered by CHIP, and of Native-American or Native-Alaskan heritage.  

Alongside its partners, TOMAGWA is able to make these services available that include conducting routine eye exams, prescribing glasses/contacts, identifying related systemic conditions affecting the eye, and treating injuries and disorders of the visual system.

Ophthalmology and surgical procedures of the eye (e.g., laser surgery) are considered specialty services. 

TOMAGWA provides eligibility assistance services to support patients to establish eligibility for and gain access to appropriate federal, state and local programs that provide or financially support the provision of medical, social, educational, housing, or other related services (e.g., Medicaid, Veteran’s benefits, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Legal Aid). 

At TOMAGWA , spiritual care is a fundamental component of our holistic approach to healthcare. Recognizing the deep connection between spiritual well-being and physical health, we offer spiritual support services to all our patients, regardless of their faith or belief systems.

Our practitioners provides comfort and  prayer to patients and their families during times of illness, stress, or grief. These services are integrated with our medical care to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive support that addresses the mind, body, and spirit, reflecting our commitment to healing the whole person in a respectful and nurturing environment.
